Experimenting with AI Content Creation

AI x Content Creation

After much experimenting with various AI content generators, here are all the photo, video and audio programs I have been using lately (And yes, this image is me, sort of)

*This post will continue to be updated with more AI tools tested

We know how AI is integrating into just about everything right now, but as someone who works with a lot of media and content creation, I thought I would test out several platforms that are causing buzz, while still waiting for others to arrive (hello, Sora). I am someone that likes to test out everything, just so I can speak on it in my work (I think it is pretty key for anyone working in media, tech, marketing and communications, not to mention preparing for the impact on media psychology and media literacy going forward). I don’t have to be good at it, heck there are pros for that, but I think it is essential if you are in any kind of marketing, advertising, tech, PR & communications roles, to try social media, content, and AI platforms. After surfing social media - particularly youtube - for creators reactions to various AI platforms, this is what I have tested so far:

  1. Headshots: This question seems to come up more as the options are getting better. My image above and below were made with the Remini app, but there are plenty of more to experiment with depending on what type of headshot you want - standard business? Creative? Lifestyle? There are plenty of youtube videos of people experimenting with many out there, such as PhotoDirector, Vivid AI, Picsart, Fotor, Lensa AI, Mayo Studio, Fotorama, GIO: AI Headshot Art Generator, Facetune, YouCam Perfect

  2. ChatGPT: If you are not using this as a daily tool, you are wasting your valuable time. As any pro will tell you, it is all in the specificity of the prompts you give it, and what you want it to act like (your editor, business consultant, designer, fitness trainer, etc). Of course people can tell if you have it straight writing generic copy for you, but it is so useful for planning, creative idea honing, condensing article, making charts out of data, and so much more. This is essential when you know how to use it properly, and there are scores of youtube videos breaking down how to get the most from it and mastering prompts. It keeps advancing, and yes there will be more image and video tools to come, such as Sora, which should be available later this year.

  3. Google Gemini: This AI is coming in hot, as a competitor to OpenAI, but I have not used it yet to create, just in its presence on search. Also Google’s Notebook LM is fantastic too, especially for students, where you can upload all kinds of information to get outlines, study guides, and a short explanation through a podcast conversation.

  4. Discord + Midjourney: Next to Chatgpt, these are also regularly used and are integrated. Discord is a platform that allows users to chat with others who share their interests, while Midjourney is an AI image generator that uses Discord to create a community of artists. In fact, Discord accounts are connected to a number of emerging AI products so it is a good place to set up.

  5. Pixverse: Per image above, this text-to-image creator is fun to make imagery out of avatars - including your own. You can include minimal movement, but again, you need to be specific. After creating your “character”, you can apply it to various scenarios. For the above, as an example, my prompt was “Attractive woman, standing in the hotel lobby of the pink Grand Budapest Hotel from the movie, holding a suitcase, in the style of Wes Anderson, wearing a pink summer dress, slowly look at the camera, red and blue tones, hair moving, tripod shot” (My image is just a screenshot of the video Mp4 which has movement of the eyes and suitcase)

  6. ElevenLabs: I have used this for many voiceovers, which is very easy to do from any text-to-audio directions you give it, and has options in various accents. However, the best thing I did was clone my own voice, so I could easily voiceover my videos in minutes.

  7. INVideo: This one was wild for me, because it took me seconds to create this promotional youtube video as an experiment with minimal prompting. It created the video complete with b-roll video, script, and voiceover, by me just telling it to create a 1 minute long video geared towards outdoor hobbyists, to encourage them to get outside this summer. Of course, you would want to control the content, but I was curious what it would do with me giving it next to nothing. Given the barrage of faceless youtube videos, this is how you do it.

  8. Leonardo AI: A solid AI image generator that also offers animation

  9. TubeMagic: Great for anyone creating youtube videos, for AI scriptwriting and optimizing keywords

  10. DupDub: Billing itself as an “all-in-one-content-creator”, this platform includes voice cloning, talking avatars, transcription, 10+ other AI features

  11. VIdIQ: Another handy tool for video makers, including SEO, keywords, tag generators

*I still have many more on my list to trial, so I will keep adding them in. In the meantime, work with me at CMMEDIA
