Is medical tourism a thing? Turns out it is and business is booming. Looking beyond American boarders to find healthcare systems in other countries that are equally as good — if not better — than what you get at home for a fraction of the price, and countries that specialize in areas ranging from hip replacements to fertility to plastic surgery.

This past weekend I had the pleasure of attending the first Wanderlust Wellspring event in the California desert (Palm Springs) that was a “first-of-its-kind wellness gathering featuring the world’s leading innovators, teachers and socially-conscious companies”.

“Beauty” is such a relative term, and one we know goes well beyond narrow, superficial categorization.  So this list has more to do with some traditional self-care rituals and practices we have long seen pop up through media, exploring a wide range of multicultural interpretations.

While there are yoga retreats, teacher trainings and events available year-round, all over the world, we are entering the key season for more experiences right here in the USA.
