Favorite Spooky Season Movies: Must-Watch Films for Halloween (As part of my move x travel series (two of my obsessions)
As the nights grow longer and the air cools, there’s no better way to celebrate spooky season than by curling up with a good movie that brings the thrills and chills. Whether you're into classic horror, supernatural suspense, or fun Halloween flicks that mix scares with laughs, I’ve rounded up favorite films to get you in the seasonal and/or Halloween spirit. From haunting ghost stories to vampire favorites to jump scares, these movies are guaranteed to bring the perfect dose of spooky vibes to your October nights. So grab some popcorn, dim the lights, and get ready for a frightfully fun movie marathon!
But First, Travel

If you want extra spooky travel destinations, make sure you visit:
Sleepy Hollow, NY - They have spectacular Halloween activities all month, complete with the Headless Horseman riding around town
Salem, MA - For the entire month of October, haunted happenings take over Salem to celebrate Halloween and revisit historical happenings
New Orleans, LA - All of the witchy vibes in a city long associated with the occult, there are plenty of day and night tours to take it all in
Savannah, GA - With a reputation for being America's most haunted city, there are plenty of spooky walking tours around town (especially at night)
Edinburgh, Scotland - Maybe it’s the grey, rainy weather or the Harry Potter vibes (the city inspired the movies, though most settings were in England), but it’s a lovely time to go and do Potter inspired walking tours
