Palm Springs Stay Favorites
As someone who has spent significant time in Palm Springs over the years, which I have written about before, I have stayed in all manor of places - vacations homes, boutique hotels and more. It’s important to note that there are in fact nine towns across Coachella Valley, so I will add some more beyond Palm Springs proper.

Vacation Homes: There are abundant short term rentals available in Palm Springs, though the city has become more strict on them, as well as with their neighborhood sound ordinances. But if you are travelling with a family or group of friends, this is the way to go.
Larger / Mid-Size Hotels: Because of the amount of events and conferences held around coachella valley, there are a number of chain brand hotels to chose from, whether you are a business traveler, so just want something familiar. Larger hotels in the area include:
In Palm Springs: Kimpton Rowan Palm Springs, ARRIVE Hotel, Parker Palm Springs, L'HORIZON , and soon, a new Thompson Hotel is finally coming soon (*Your will likely hear people name Ace Hotel & Swim Club but it is more a party spot with a good diner, and less great accommodations)
In Rancho Mirage: The Ritz-Carlton
In Palm Desert: This are more generic but they are large and good for more space - JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa, Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa, The Westin Desert Willow Villas, HOTEL PASEO, Autograph Collection
Boutique Hotels: There have been many great additions to Palm Springs, and more coming still. But for now, these are gems -
La Serena Villas, Sparrow Lodge, Korakia Pensione, Holiday House, Colony Palms Hotel, Villa Royale (*Also, if you want something fabulously quirky, the Trixie Motel but famous Drag Queen Trixie Mattel is a hoot. There is even an HBO series on them making it)
