Four Seasons Vail, Penthouse Dreams

When I was offered a night in the penthouse at Four Seasons Vail, and a chance to visit some old friends, I said yes immediately.

I have a lot of family in the great state of Colorado, but had never really spent much time in Vail. Now I have worked with Four Seasons at a few properties over the years, and two of my colleagues ended up at the property, so it was the perfect time for me to grab my camera and take a side excursion to explore. And while I am not a skier, it is easy to see why this would be a paradise for snow enthusiasts (though Autumn in Colorado is wonderful too), and is very popular with families.

About the property

The property is a contemporary landmark Hotel with European flair offering a wide variety of luxury Suites, Rooms, & Residences (the gas-burning fireplaces, furnished balconies are a nice touch). Located at the base of Vail Mountain, this resort features a year round outdoor pool and a spa. It also features an on-site restaurant, bar and poolside lounge.

Guests of Vail Four Seasons Resort can dine at Flame, an American-style steakhouse with indoor and outdoor seating. If they prefer, guests can relax at Four Seasons Resort Vail's Pool Bar, which serves a signature hot cocoa made with homemade chocolate marshmallows. The Remedy Bar offers a selection of fine wines and cocktail specials. Ski Concierge services are offered at Vail Four Seasons. A 5-star spa and wellness center featuring massage, body treatments and facials is available. Guests can work out the well-equipped fitness center and have access to a 24-hour business center. Betty Ford Alpine Gardens are 0.7 mi away from this resort. Beaver Creek Ski Area is 23 minutes’ drive away.

About the suites

I can’t recall which room I stayed in (it was a few years back), but I believe it was the three bedroom suite which is over 1,842 sq. ft. and has three kind size beds and three full limestone bathrooms. It offers guests a cosy, open sitting area and fireplace. With two connecting rooms, this suite is ideal for a family of up to six guests or friends traveling together.
