Testing Out New Travel Tools

Hello travel friends, I have two quick notes related to my adventures in travel:

Firstly, since I travel so frequently, and also help many friends with their travel and hotel recommendations on a regular basis, I thought I would test out Fora, so here is my profile.

You may have read about Fora Travel recently in Conde Nast Traveler or elsewhere, as many colleagues I know who work with travel in any capacity (editorial, photographers, hoteliers, etc) that also regularly share their industry savvy with others, are looking to monetize on it. It’s essentially giving you the ability to book like a travel advisor (very in demand at the moment), and you can use it as much or little as you want to, whether it’s a small side hustle or you want to grow a new career. There is ample training and resources, including local market insight, which is intriguing all on its own, and I am curious to see how it grows, and how people in the hotel industry receive it. So TBD, but since I know a lot about hotels, it seemed like a good thing to test out. Stay tuned!

Secondly, I finally tested out HeyGen AI that everyone was talking about in the translation world. You upload your own video, choose another language, and it not only translates the video, but adjusts the movement of your mouth to suit it. Here I tested it out in Spanish, Italian and French. It’s pretty amazing.
