This is America
We are at a tipping point after 400 years of systemic racism in America, sick to death of the racism/violence/corruption, tired of people turning a blind eye and not educating themselves on issues and history. There is no sitting on the sidelines. We are on an endless loop, and these protests are mass frustration of having to go through this again, again and again. Black Lives Matter. I will continue to learn, listen, donate and amplify black voices on my social streams, and am listing many places to do the same below. I hope they are helpful, I too am humbly here to learn.
Sharing the recent words of Michelle Obama: “Like so many of you, I’m pained by these recent tragedies. And I’m exhausted by a heartbreak that never seems to stop. Right now it’s George, Breonna, and Ahmaud. Before that it was Eric, Sandra, and Michael. It just goes on, and on, and on. Race and racism is a reality that so many of us grow up learning to just deal with. But if we ever hope to move past it, it can’t just be on people of color to deal with it. It’s up to all of us—Black, white, everyone—no matter how well-meaning we think we might be, to do the honest, uncomfortable work of rooting it out. It starts with self-examination and listening to those whose lives are different from our own. It ends with justice, compassion, and empathy that manifests in our lives and on our streets. I pray we all have the strength for that journey, just as I pray for the souls and the families of those who were taken from us”

1. @blklivesmatter: The national umbrella of the Black Lives Matter movement, donations to BLM go toward programs and actions across the country, focused on ending white supremacy and state-sanctioned violence.
2. @campaignzero: Campaign Zero is a national advocacy organization that uses data-based research to inform policy solutions aimed at eliminating police violence.
3. @yourrightscamp, an organization founded by Colin Kaepernick that provides education and training in black and brown communities, set up a legal fund for Minneapolis protestors.
4. @fairfightaction, an organization founded by Stacey Abrams that aims to end voter suppression and equalize voting rights and access for fairer elections
5. @unicorn.riot: Nonprofit media collective dedicated to exposing the root causes of social, economic, and environmental issues.
6. The @naacp’s Legal Defense and Educational Fund uses litigation, advocacy, and public education to work towards racial justice and equality for all Americans.
7. The @aclu_nationwide : A non-profit organization that provides legal aid to people whose cases fall under its mission.
8. George Floyd Memorial Fund: Established by the family of George Floyd, money raised by the memorial fund will be used to care for Floyd’s children, and to fund counseling, legal, and other essential services.
9. @blackvisionscollective: A Black, trans, and queer-helmed organization in Minnesota working to “pursue our commitment to dismantling systems of oppression and violence” since 2017.
10. @reclaimtheblock : This advocacy group in Minneapolis established in 2018 with a goal of diverting city funds from the Minneapolis Police and into non-police programs that serve communities in need.
